How to Turn 32: A Photo Essay

Celebrate with lots of dessert. Chocolate preferably. (Not pictured: a primo homemade carrot cake courtesy of my bff from last weekend)

Savor every card.  Lots of cards make a girl feel loved. They remind you you are someone’s wife, someone’s niece, someone’s daughter, and just “someone special.”

Sigh a sigh of love and longing for your brother and sister-in-law when you read the inside of the puppy card they send you from Seattle.

Squeal with delight upon opening the awesomest of gifts.  My husband did well. Pet Sounds, Norah Jones, Jack Johnson and the very best: an original, never opened Sweet Baby James.

Tear up when your mom sends you a copy of your long-lost most favorite book from childhood.

Smile. Feel blessed. Look forward to what’s next.

I’m glad you had a good day! Man, those desserts look good…
Did you have fun reading your book? I teared up when I finally found a copy, thinking about you reading it to YOUR prince or princess some day. I love you, Pookums!
